AT&T Partners With doxo For Online Bill Payment
Billed as an ‘online file cabinet’, doxo, backed by Jeff Bezos‘ Bezos Expeditions, Mohr Davidow Ventures and Sigma Partners, has announced that AT&T, will agree to send bills electronically to consumers via doxo. This will allow AT&T’s 100 million subscribers to pay their bill electronically via doxo.
While doxo is free for the consumer, there is a small fee to the biller, although it is less than the cost associated with mailing a paper bill. Doxo hopes to be an all-in-one ‘file cabinet’ to securely store important documents but in a digital format, and has recently added the new bill payment service, doxoPAY.
A key feature is the mobile app that enables users to take a picture of a document or receipt while on the go and store it to their doxo accounts.
Other bill payment partners include Sprint, Puget Sound Energy, Oregon Federal Credit Union, Kansas City Power & Light.
